‘Last Touch’ by Sarah Davies
Has lockdown changed you? How? Why?
Yes, appreciation of my amazing family and how much I miss being around them.
What made you smile in lockdown? Can you explain it…
Seeing my Mam and Dad after 90 days. Never been without them so long.
What is the story behind your hand art?
My nan was suddenly rushed into hospital and diagnosed with stage 3 Leukaemia. Due to Covid-19 she was only allowed 2 visitors. My Dad and auntie went to see her so she wasn’t alone. My art is based on the last photo my Dad had with Mam. Sadly after 5 days she passed away so I never got to say goodbye. This has been the hardest thing about the pandemic. It does however give me joy knowing that my Dad was with her at her hardest time.
