'Lockdown in Watercolour' by Sara Atkins
I am a mature student studying Creative and Therapeutic Arts and the University of South Wales.
Has lockdown changed you? How? Why?
It has changed me, I enjoy my own company but I am learning to value my relationships even more than I did. I have learnt what is important to me.
What made you smile or brought you joy in lockdown? Can you explain it?
Spending time with my family. In the first lockdown, my hubby would stop whatever we were doing every afternoon and have a coffee together. We have never done that before.
Have you changed since lockdown? Tell me why.
I have learnt to enjoying the little things... I have learnt that I don't need lots of people around me just those who are important to me.
What is the story behind your hand art?
Watercolour pens picking up on the theme of the rainbow which became important in lockdown and the swirling chaos lockdown created. My hand symbolizes me hanging on in there and grabbing hold of those important to me.
